Purpose and Compatibility

Verification Before Ordering

Confirm your ThinkPad P1 requires a 135W or 90W adapter and uses the slim plug tip shown in the product images. This unit does not replace 170W or 230W adapters, so it will not suit systems that demand higher wattage.

Build Integration

The package includes a UL-listed 6 ft AC power cord and a 6 ft DC cord, giving extended reach without extra extension leads. A durable sealed case resists moisture, while built-in overload, short-circuit, over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protections safeguard the laptop during charging.

Questions about this item

Does the package include both the AC power cord and the DC cable, or must either be bought separately?

The adapter ships with a UL listed 6 ft AC power cord and a 6 ft DC power cord, so both cables are included and nothing extra is required.

How do I know whether the 135 W 20 V 6.75 A unit matches my ThinkPad P1 instead of a 90 W, 170 W or 230 W model?

This 135 W adapter replaces Lenovo 135 W and 90 W chargers for the listed P1 part numbers; it does not replace 170 W or 230 W units, so match the wattage printed on your original charger.

Will the 135 W rating deliver full charging speed while the P1 is under heavy load?

At 20 V and 6.75 A the adapter supplies its rated 135 W, which is the level Lenovo specifies for these P1 models, so the laptop can charge and run at full performance simultaneously.
