Compatible 150W adapter for MSI WS60 and WS72

This 150W AC adapter delivers 19.5V at 7.7A for MSI WS60 and WS72 series laptops. It uses a 5.5 mm barrel plug without a center pin to match the original charging port. The unit replaces MSI 150W and 120W chargers and is not suitable for 180W or 230W models. Buyers who need higher-wattage power for other MSI workstations cannot use this adapter.

Steady output under continuous load

The adapter accepts worldwide input from 100 to 240V at 50 to 60Hz and maintains a regulated 19.5V DC output during extended use. Built-in overload, short-circuit, over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protections engage automatically when limits are exceeded. A durable sealed case resists water and humidity to protect internal components. The six-foot AC cord and six-foot DC cord give ample reach without strain on the connector.

5.5 mm plug tip without center pin

The single specification that determines fit is the 5.5 mm diameter barrel connector with no center pin, as shown in the product images. Only MSI WS60 and WS72 models listed in the compatibility table use this exact plug geometry. Systems requiring a different tip size, a center-pin design or 180W and 230W input will not work with this unit.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 150W 19.5V 7.7A brick produce when it runs all day?

The adapter includes overload, short-circuit, over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protection, and its case resists extreme conditions while sealing out water and humidity.

Does my MSI laptop need a centre-pin connector or will the 5.5 mm tip fit?

This unit has a 5.5 mm diameter plug tip without a centre pin inside, so it fits models that use that exact connector.

Will this 150W adapter charge a WS72 that originally shipped with a 180W or 230W charger?

The supplier states it replaces 150W and 120W chargers but does NOT replace 180W or 230W adapters.
