This 170W AC adapter delivers 20V at 8.5A to match the original Lenovo charger for ThinkPad P70 and P71 mobile workstations. It accepts worldwide mains input from 100 to 240V at 50 to 60Hz. The unit includes a 6 ft UL listed three-prong AC cord and a 6 ft DC cord for flexible desk placement. Built-in protections guard against overload, short circuit, over voltage, over current and over temperature.

Suits owners of supported models needing a spare

It replaces Lenovo 135W and 170W adapters for the listed part numbers, so buyers with those machines can use it directly. Users whose ThinkPad requires a 230W or 300W charger cannot use this adapter because the output power is lower. Buyers needing a different connector or voltage should look at other options.

Steady output during extended sessions

The adapter maintains its rated 170W continuously rather than only in short bursts. High power efficiency keeps the case temperature controlled while the safety circuits monitor voltage, current and temperature. The durable housing resists humidity and everyday handling. A 12-month replacement warranty covers defects.
