Car charging for Dell laptops

This 65 W auto adapter plugs into a 12 V to 24 V cigarette-lighter socket and delivers 19.5 V at 3.34 A to compatible Dell notebooks. It replaces 45 W and 65 W Dell chargers and is intended for drivers who need to power or charge a laptop while the vehicle is running.

Sustained output in a vehicle

The unit supplies a continuous 65 W maximum from the DC input, with built-in short-circuit and over-temperature protection. A smart LED indicates power status, and the adapter draws only the power required by the connected laptop during extended use.

Right-angle connector eases fit

The 90-degree DC tip reduces strain on the laptop jack and resists cable fatigue better than a straight plug. A long power cord adds reach inside the cabin, and the compact 3.94 x 1.57 x 1.18 in housing weighs 8.7 oz for simple storage. It does not replace 90 W Dell adapters and is not an AC wall charger.

Questions about this item

Does the 65 W output generate noticeable heat during long drives?

The adapter includes over-temperature protection and consumes less power, keeping heat low during extended use.

What must my vehicle provide for this charger to operate?

A 12 V to 24 V DC cigarette-lighter socket is required; the unit plugs directly into that outlet.

Will the right-angle 19.5 V tip fit the Dell Latitude I already own?

The tip replaces Dell 45 W and 65 W 19.5 V adapters listed in the compatibility table, but not 90 W models.
