Tip size and voltage check

Confirm that your laptop uses a 6.0 mm diameter barrel plug with a centre pin and requires exactly 20V at 12A. Using this adapter on a model that needs a higher-wattage brick or a different connector will not work.

Extra-long cords included

The package supplies a UL-listed 6 ft AC power cord and a 6 ft DC output cord, giving a combined reach that reduces the need for extension leads. Built-in overload, short-circuit, over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature protections help safeguard the connected notebook.

The adapter ships with a UL listed 3-prong AC power cord and a DC power cord, each 6 ft long, so no extra cables are required.

My Asus model needs a 230 W or 200 W charger — will this 240 W unit work safely?

Yes, it replaces Asus 240 W, 230 W, 200 W and 180 W chargers; it does not replace 280 W, 300 W or 330 W models.

It delivers up to 240 W at 20 V and 12 A, matching the voltage and current your laptop expects from its original charger.
