240W AC adapter for Asus laptops

This 240W AC adapter delivers 20V at 12A through a 6.0 mm tip with a centre pin. It is built for Asus FA617XS, FA707 and FX507 series notebooks that require a 240W, 230W, 200W or 180W charger. The unit replaces those original power supplies and includes a UL-listed 6 ft AC cord plus a 6 ft DC cord.

Sustained output and protection

The adapter maintains its rated 240W continuously thanks to high power efficiency and a durable case that resists water and humidity. Built-in safeguards cover overload, short circuit, over-voltage, over-current and over-temperature conditions so the supply stays stable during long charging or gaming sessions.

Check tip size and wattage ceiling

Verify that your laptop uses the 6.0 mm centre-pin connector shown in the product images before ordering. This model does not replace 280W, 300W or 330W adapters, so machines that ship with those higher-wattage units are not compatible.

Questions about this item

How much heat does the 240W adapter produce when running all day?

The adapter includes over-temperature protection that shuts it down if internal heat exceeds safe limits, and the durable case resists extreme conditions while sealing out humidity.

What must I already own to use the 6.0 mm tip on my Asus laptop?

You need a compatible Asus model such as the FA617XS, FA707 or FX507 series that accepts a 20V 12A barrel connector with a centre pin.

Will the 240W unit work alongside my older 180W Asus charger?

Yes, it replaces 180W, 200W and 230W adapters, but it does not replace 280W, 300W or 330W units.
