240W Dell G-Series Charger

This 240W AC adapter supplies 19.5V at 12.3A through a 7.4 x 5.0 mm centre-pin connector. It fits Dell G7 16 7620, G7 17 7700, G15 5515, 5530, G16 7630 and Precision 16 7680, 17 7710 through 7780 models. The 6 ft AC cord and 6 ft DC cable give 12 ft total reach without an extension lead.

Replaces 180W-240W Dell Adapters

It replaces Dell 180W, 230W and 240W chargers; it does not replace 280W, 300W or 330W units. The jump is worth it when your original adapter is lost, damaged or no longer holds a stable charge under load. Buyers needing 280W or higher output must source a different model.

240W Output With Worldwide Input

The adapter delivers up to 240W continuous power from a 100-240V 50-60Hz mains supply. It comfortably runs supported G-series and Precision laptops while charging the internal battery. It runs out of headroom on systems that draw more than 240W, such as configurations requiring a 280W or 330W supply.

Questions about this item

Will the 7.4 x 5.0 mm centre-pin tip fit my Dell Precision 7750?

Yes — the adapter ships with a 7.4 mm by 5.0 mm plug that has a centre pin, which matches the Precision 7750 and other listed Dell models.

How do I connect the two 6 ft cords without creating a loose joint?

Plug the 3-prong AC cord into the wall, then push the DC cord firmly into the adapter brick until it clicks; the most common mistake is leaving the DC plug partially seated.

When should I replace the AC power cord if the insulation starts to crack?

Replace the UL-listed 3-prong cord immediately if the jacket shows cracks or the plug pins become loose, as damaged mains wiring is a safety hazard.
