Direct Replacement Cord

This four-foot non-polarised cord connects laptops, VCRs and similar A/V gear that use a two-slot C7 inlet to a standard NEMA 1-15P wall outlet. The 18 AWG conductors are rated for 7 A at 125 V.

Simple Two-Prong Build

A moulded NEMA 1-15P male plug and an IEC320 C7 female connector snap together without polarity concerns, so orientation never matters when plugging in. The 1.2 m length keeps desktop clutter low while reaching nearby sockets.

Swaps Worn Or Lost Leads

It replaces a damaged or missing original lead for any device accepting a non-polarised C7 connection. The jump is worth it when the existing cable is frayed, the plug is loose or a spare is needed for travel.

Questions about this item

What does the NEMA 1-15P to IEC C7 connection limit in practice?

The cord is rated for 125 V and 7 A, suitable for non-polarised laptop or AV equipment.

What clearance does the 4 ft 18 AWG cable need to fit?

The 1.2 m length with 18 AWG conductors fits standard outlet spacing and device inlets without strain.

How is the non-polarised C7 connector installed, and what step is often missed?

Align the figure-8 plug with the device inlet and push fully home; the non-polarised design means either orientation works.
