  • Rugged sealed case resists moisture and high humidity
  • Built-in surge and over-voltage protection guards the laptop

Purpose and compatibility

This iTekiro 12V AC adapter replaces the original charger for specific Ematic 2-in-1 and laptop models including the EWT118, EWT118C, EWT118CB, EWT118CS, EWT148, EWT148A, EWT148AB and EWT148AS. It is designed for devices that require a 12 volt input, so buyers must verify the voltage on the laptop label before purchase. It will not work with laptops that require a 5V supply.

Sustained operation

The adapter delivers continuous power whether the laptop is running or turned off, charging the internal lithium-ion battery while supplying the system. Internal safety circuitry filters input voltage spikes and limits output voltage and current to protect the connected device during extended use. A ruggedised case with tight sealing resists moisture and high humidity, supporting reliable performance in mobile environments.

Connector design and daily use

A 90 degree L-shape DC tip reduces stress on the laptop power jack and the adapter plug, helping both components last longer than a straight connector would. The 6.5 foot DC cord provides extra reach so the wall outlet does not need to be right next to the workspace, removing the need for an extension lead. The durable housing withstands the knocks of daily transport.

Questions about this item

Does the 12V adapter generate noticeable heat or noise when powering the laptop all day?

The unit is a passive AC adapter with no fan, so it runs silently; the ruggedized case and internal safety circuitry are designed to handle continuous operation without excessive heat buildup.

What must the buyer already own for this adapter to work with their Ematic laptop?

You need an Ematic 11.6-inch 2-in-1 (EWT118 series) or 13.3-inch Windows laptop (EWT148 series) that shows a 12V input requirement on its bottom label.

Will the L-shape tip fit the charging port on an older Ematic model that uses a straight connector?

The 90-degree elbow connector is sized for the listed EWT118 and EWT148 models; it will not mate with a port designed for a straight tip on a different Ematic laptop.
