Questions about this item

What clearance does the L-shape tip need beside the laptop power jack?

The 90-degree elbow extends sideways from the jack, so allow a few centimetres of free space next to the port for the right-angle connector to sit without bending the cable.

Which cord do I connect first when setting up the adapter?

Plug the 6 ft 2-prong AC cord into the wall outlet, then attach the 6 ft DC cord to the laptop; reversing the order can cause a brief spark at the DC tip.

How do I know when the AC power cord needs replacing?

The UL-listed 2-prong cord should be swapped if the insulation cracks, the prongs loosen, or the cord becomes warm during normal use.
