Car charger for HP laptops

This 65W DC auto adapter plugs into a 12 to 24V vehicle outlet and delivers 19.5V at 3.34A. It replaces HP 45W and 65W units listed under part numbers such as 709985-001 and PA-1650-32HE. A long power cord adds reach inside the cabin.

Suits drivers who need reliable in-car power

Ideal for mobile professionals keeping a compatible HP notebook running on the road. Not for users whose laptop requires a 90W adapter, or for anyone wanting an AC wall charger instead of a DC vehicle solution.

Handles 45W and 65W loads with protection

Comfortably powers supported HP models while guarding against short circuit and over temperature. It cannot supply the higher current a 90W system demands, so those machines will not charge correctly.

Questions about this item

Does my vehicle need a 12 V or 24 V cigarette lighter socket for this 65 W car charger?

The adapter accepts DC 12–24 V input, so it works with both standard 12 V car outlets and 24 V truck sockets.

Will this 65 W unit replace my existing HP 90 W adapter (part PA‑1650‑34HE) in the car?

No — the charger only replaces HP 45 W and 65 W adapters; it does not support 90 W models such as PA‑1650‑34HE.

How can I confirm the charger is delivering the correct 19.5 V 3.34 A output after I plug it in?

The built‑in smart LED indicator lights when the adapter is supplying the rated 19.5 V 3.34 A 65 W output.
