65W USB-C Adapter for ThinkPad T490

This 65W USB-C AC adapter replaces genuine Lenovo 45W and 65W chargers for the ThinkPad T490 series. It delivers adjustable output from 5V to 20V at up to 3.25A, matching the device's power requirements. The unit accepts worldwide AC input from 100 to 240V at 50 to 60Hz. A ruggedised case resists moisture and high humidity for mobile use.

Sustained output with surge protection

Comprehensive internal safety features filter input line voltage spikes and limit output voltage or current to protect the laptop. High power efficiency provides consistent and continuous power during extended sessions. The adapter maintains stable delivery across the full 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V and 20V range. UL listed AC power cord adds an extra layer of electrical safety.

12 ft total cable reach

The package includes a 6 ft 2-prong AC power cord plus a 6 ft DC power cord, giving 12 ft of combined reach without extension cords. This length suits desk, hotel or airport seating where outlets are distant. Buyers who need a shorter cable or a different plug type should look elsewhere. The fixed cable layout cannot be shortened or swapped.

Questions about this item

How much heat or noise does the 65W USB-C adapter produce when running all day?

The adapter has no fan and uses a ruggedised sealed case, so it runs silently; high power efficiency keeps heat low during continuous use.

What must I already own for this USB-C charger to work with my ThinkPad T490?

Your laptop needs a USB-C charging port that accepts 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V or 20V up to 3.25A; the package includes both the 6 ft AC cord and 6 ft DC cord.

Will this 65W adapter safely replace the original 45W charger on older ThinkPad models listed?

Yes, it automatically adjusts voltage between 5V and 20V to match each device, and internal surge protection guards older hardware from spikes.
