Compatible 65W USB-C Power Adapter

This 65W USB-C AC adapter replaces genuine Lenovo 45W and 65W chargers for ThinkPad X280 models. It delivers up to 65W through a USB Type-C connection with selectable output voltages of 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V and 20V. The unit accepts worldwide AC input from 100 to 240V at 50 to 60Hz. A durable case resists extreme conditions and seals out water and humidity.

Suited for ThinkPad X280 owners needing a spare

It fits the listed 20KF part numbers and other X280 configurations that use USB-C power up to 65W. Buyers whose laptops require a proprietary slim-tip connector or a higher wattage supply should look elsewhere. The adapter includes a 6 ft AC cord and a 6 ft DC cord for flexible placement. Safety features cover overload, short circuit, over voltage, over current and over temperature protection.

Delivers 65W maximum over USB-C for daily workloads

The multi-voltage output comfortably handles typical charging and operation of the X280 under normal loads. It runs out of headroom if the system demands more than 65W, such as during sustained peak performance with discrete graphics or multiple high-power peripherals. The 6 ft cables provide reach without excessive bulk. High power efficiency ensures a steady and reliable power source.

Questions about this item

Does my ThinkPad X280 need anything besides its USB-C port to use this 65W adapter?

The laptop only needs a USB-C charging port that accepts 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V or 20V at up to 65W; the adapter plugs directly into that port.

Will this 65W USB-C adapter also charge an older ThinkPad that uses the 45W rectangular tip?

No, the adapter provides power only through its USB-C connector, so it cannot connect to the older rectangular charging port.

How can I confirm the adapter is delivering the correct 65W to my X280 after I plug it in?

The laptop's battery indicator will show it is charging, and the system power report will list the source as a 65W USB-C supply.
