Check your ThinkPad model and power needs

Verify that your ThinkPad X1 Carbon is a Gen 9 20XW variant or one of the listed 20U9 part numbers before ordering. The adapter provides USB Type-C output at 5V, 9V, 12V, 15V and 20V, so your device must support charging over USB-C at one of these voltages. Input accepts AC 100 to 240V at 50 to 60Hz for worldwide use.

Thermals noise and power draw

The adapter operates from AC 100 to 240V at 50 to 60Hz with a maximum output of 65W. Built-in protections include overload, short circuit, over voltage, over current and over temperature safeguards. A durable case resists extreme conditions and seals out water and humidity for reliable operation.

Questions about this item

Does the iTekiro 65W USB-C adapter come with both the wall cord and the laptop cable, or must I buy one separately?

The box includes a 6 ft UL-listed 2-prong AC power cord and a 6 ft DC cable that ends in the USB-C plug, so nothing extra is required.

My ThinkPad X1 Carbon Gen 9 shipped with a 45 W charger; is the 65 W version safe to use instead?

Yes — the adapter negotiates 5 V, 9 V, 12 V, 15 V or 20 V up to 65 W, and it replaces genuine Lenovo 45 W and 65 W units listed for the 20XW series.

Will the 65 W rating actually deliver full speed charging while I am working on the laptop?

The USB-C output provides up to 65 W across the supported voltage steps, so the laptop can draw its maximum supported power during use.
