Build Integration

The unit accepts DC 12 to 24 V input from a cigarette-lighter outlet and provides a right-angle DC jack that reduces strain on the laptop power port. A long power cord adds reach inside the cabin and the compact 3.94 by 1.57 by 1.18 inch form factor fits easily in a bag or console.

Thermals Noise Power

Short-circuit and over-temperature protection guard the adapter during extended use. Smart LED indicators show power status while the circuitry consumes less power. The 8.7 oz weight and 45 W maximum draw keep heat and electrical load low in normal operation.

Questions about this item

What is the maximum power this charger can draw from a 12 V socket before the protection circuit trips?

The adapter is rated for 45 W maximum output from a 12–24 V input, so sustained loads above that level will trigger the built-in over-temperature and short-circuit safeguards.

How hot does the brick get and does the fan run constantly during a long drive?

There is no fan; the unit relies on passive cooling and the supplier notes it consumes less power, while the right-angle DC plug reduces stress on the jack during extended use.

Which connector tip do I need on my Samsung laptop for this charger to fit?

The 90-degree DC plug is designed for the Samsung models listed — including NP940X3M, NP900X3N, NP305U1A, NP930XCJ, NP950XCJ and NP730QCJ — so the tip must match those devices.
