HP 15-ac series car charger

This 65 W DC car charger replaces the original 45 W and 65 W HP adapters for the 15-ac and 15-af laptop families. It plugs into a 12 V to 24 V cigarette lighter socket and delivers 19.5 V at up to 3.34 A. The right-angle L-shaped tip reduces strain on the laptop port. A long power cord lets the brick reach rear-seat passengers without tension.

Travelers and mobile workers

Drivers who need to run or charge a compatible HP notebook on the road will find this unit fits the listed 15-ac and 15-af models. Buyers with laptops outside that model list should verify voltage and connector compatibility before purchasing. The adapter is a third-party replacement, not an original HP part, so users requiring OEM-only hardware should look elsewhere.

65 W maximum output

At 65 W the charger comfortably powers the supported notebooks while charging the battery during typical workloads. Heavy sustained loads that push the laptop beyond 65 W may cause the adapter to hit its thermal or current limits and shut down. The 12 V to 24 V input range covers standard car and light-truck electrical systems.
