8K Mini DisplayPort cable

This IVANKY cable links a Mini DisplayPort source to a full-size DisplayPort 1.4 display or vice-versa. It is built for users who need 8K at 60 Hz or 4K at 240 Hz over a 6.6 ft run. The bi-directional design suits both GPU-to-monitor and laptop-to-dock workflows.

Best for high-refresh gaming

The 32.4 Gbps bandwidth and DSC 1.2a support make it a fit for competitive gaming and professional colour work with Dynamic HDR10+. Buyers who only require 4K at 60 Hz or need a longer run than 6.6 ft should look at other options.

Handles 8K 60 Hz and 4K 240 Hz comfortably

At 32.4 Gbps the link carries uncompressed 8K 60 Hz and 4K 240 Hz with HDR. Beyond those resolutions or refresh rates the bandwidth runs out, so higher-spec displays will need a different interconnect.

Questions about this item

Do I need a graphics card with a DisplayPort 1.4 output to use this 6.6ft cable?

Yes, the source must provide a standard DisplayPort 1.4 signal for the 32.4Gbps bandwidth, 8K@60Hz or 4K@240Hz modes, and DSC 1.2a support to function correctly.

Will this bi-directional cable work if I connect a Thunderbolt 2 MacBook to a DisplayPort monitor?

Yes, Thunderbolt 2 ports carry a DisplayPort 1.2 signal, so the cable will transmit video up to 4K@60Hz; the higher 1.4 speeds and Dynamic HDR10+ require a DP 1.4 source.

How can I verify the 32.4Gbps link is active after plugging it in?

Open your GPU control panel or monitor OSD and confirm the active resolution shows 8K@60Hz or 4K@240Hz with 10-bit colour and DSC enabled.
