Angled Sanding Sponge 120 Grit

This angled sanding sponge uses 120 grit aluminum oxide abrasive coated on four sides of a firm foam block. It is designed for wood, metal, painted surfaces, plastic, fiberglass, plaster, drywall and autobody finishing. The shape reaches tight corners and crevices that flat sheets cannot access.

Wet or Dry Reusable Abrasive

The sponge works wet or dry and can be rinsed for repeated use, reducing the need for disposable sandpaper sheets. Aluminum oxide coating provides consistent cutting action across contoured surfaces and edges. This flexibility suits both surface preparation and finish sanding tasks.

Ready to Use Flexible Block

No tools or backing pads are required; the sponge is held directly by hand for immediate sanding. The firm foam core resists collapsing under pressure while conforming to irregular profiles. It is not suited for high-speed power sanders or heavy stock removal on large flat areas.

Questions about this item

How many times can the 120 grit sponge be rinsed and reused before the abrasive wears out?

The aluminium oxide coating far outlasts traditional sandpaper and can be rinsed and reused, though the exact number of cycles depends on the material being sanded and the pressure applied.

When sanding continuously, does the firm sponge block or the coated surface reach its limit first?

The coated abrasive on the four sides wears down before the firm sponge backing loses its shape, so grit depletion is the practical limit during sustained use.

Does the sponge stay cool and quiet during all-day hand sanding?

Hand operation produces minimal heat and virtually no noise; the sponge remains comfortable to hold even during extended sessions.
