iXever DP2HD-4K-BK DisplayPort to HDMI adapter 25cm

What this adapter does

The iXever DP2HD-4K-BK is a new DisplayPort to HDMI adapter that converts a DisplayPort 1.1 source to an HDMI display. It measures 25cm with gold-plated connectors and supports video bandwidth up to 10.8Gbps. Audio and video transmit synchronously over HDMI with support for uncompressed 7.1, 5.1 or 2 channel audio. An HDMI cable is required and not included.

Who this suits and who it does not

It suits users connecting a DP-equipped laptop or desktop to an HDTV, monitor or projector with HDMI input for extended or mirrored displays. It is not for buyers needing bi-directional conversion or HDMI-to-DisplayPort direction. It is not for setups requiring resolution or refresh rates beyond 4K at 30Hz. It is not for ports that are USB-C only without native DisplayPort signalling.

Capacity and headroom

The adapter handles up to 4K*2K resolution at 30Hz and QXGA (4000*2000) maximum via HDMI. It runs out at higher refresh rates or resolutions beyond the 10.8Gbps bandwidth limit. The 20-pin DisplayPort interface and latch design require careful unplugging to avoid damage. It provides reliable signal conversion within its specified video and audio limits.
