USB-C 3.1 Gen2 10 Gbps Extension Cable 2-Pack

This iXever two-pack extends USB-C connections by 3.3 ft while preserving 10 Gbps data rates. Each cable carries a male plug on one end and a female port on the other. The pair suits users who need extra reach for peripherals, docks or headsets without sacrificing speed.

Replaces shorter or slower USB-C cables

Swap out a 1 ft or USB 2.0 lead when the device sits farther from the host or when 10 Gbps throughput is required for 4K video or large file transfers. The upgrade is worth it only if the host, the bridged cable and the peripheral all support USB 3.1 Gen2; otherwise the link falls back to lower speeds.

Fits into a USB-C charging and data chain

The cables accept 5 V to 20 V at up to 5 A, enabling 100 W Power Delivery charging alongside data and 4K video. Double-braided nylon and aluminium-alloy shells withstand 10000+ bends. They do not work with Thunderbolt 3 docks, hubs or cables, so builders needing Thunderbolt 3 passthrough must choose a different extender.

Questions about this item

How much clearance does the USB-C male plug need behind my laptop port?

The aluminium-alloy shell on the male connector adds only a few millimetres beyond the port face, so the cable sits flush in tight spaces.

What is the correct way to seat the female end so USB 2.0 peripherals work on a MacBook?

If a mouse or keyboard is not recognised, flip the female connector over and reinsert it; the reversible design requires the correct orientation for legacy devices.

How many insertions can the double-braided nylon cable withstand before the connectors wear out?

The reinforced construction is rated for over 10000 bend and mating cycles, giving a long service life under daily use.
