Two-Part Epoxy for Structural Repairs
J-B Weld 8265-S is a cold-weld epoxy adhesive that bonds metal, plastic and wood in automotive, industrial, farm and marine settings. The 1.00 oz tube contains two components mixed at a 1:1 ratio for heavy-duty structural repairs.
Working Time and Temperature Limits
The adhesive provides a 30 minute work life before setting, reaches functional cure in 6 hours and full cure in 24 hours. It withstands continuous service from 0 to 600 degrees F with a maximum temperature resistance of 300 degrees F and above.
Replaces Welding and Mechanical Fasteners
This compound replaces welding, brazing or mechanical fasteners where heat application is impractical or disassembly is difficult. The jump is worth it when a 3960 PSI shear-strength bond that is waterproof, non-toxic and grey in colour solves the repair without specialised equipment.

Questions about this item
Which tube size should I choose for a single repair job?
The product is supplied as a single 1.00 oz tube, which is the only size offered for this cold weld compound.
What does the 3960 PSI shear strength mean when the adhesive is used on metal?
It indicates the bonded joint can withstand 3960 pounds per square inch of shear force once fully cured, suitable for structural repairs on metal surfaces.
How does the 1:1 mixing ratio affect the working time?
Equal parts of the two components must be mixed; after mixing you have a 30 minute work life before the epoxy begins to set.
