Triple-monitor USB-C docking station
The j5create USB-C Triple Monitor Docking Station connects to a laptop through a single USB-C 3.1 5Gbps port that must support DisplayPort Alt Mode and Power Delivery. It drives up to three external displays using the onboard HDMI, DisplayPort and VGA outputs. A built-in notebook stand aids heat dissipation and the flexible USB-C cable accommodates different port locations.
Practical limits of the USB-C 3.1 5Gbps interface
The host port must provide DisplayPort Alt Mode and Power Delivery for the dock to deliver video and up to 100W of pass-through charging. Without Alt Mode the video outputs will not function. The USB-C upstream link is limited to 5Gbps bandwidth, so total display throughput and peripheral speed share that ceiling. One USB-A port supplies BC1.2 fast charging at 1.2A for phones or tablets.
What to verify on your laptop before ordering
Confirm the USB-C port supports both DisplayPort Alt Mode and Power Delivery 3.0; a data-only port will not drive the monitors or charge the notebook. Install the supplied driver on Windows 10 or macOS 10.11 and later — macOS requires a Screen Recording permission for the display driver. If only one external screen appears, re-check the driver installation using the included Quick Installation Guide.

Questions about this item
Which video outputs should I use to get three monitors working?
Use the HDMI, DisplayPort and VGA ports together; the dock supports up to three simultaneous displays when the host has a USB-C 3.1 5 Gbps port with Display Alt-mode and Power Delivery.
What does the 100 W Power Delivery rating mean for my laptop?
The USB-C port can deliver up to 100 W to charge the connected notebook while the dock is in use, provided the host supports PD 3.0.
What limits the Gigabit Ethernet speed in practice?
The Ethernet port is capped at 1 Gbps, and actual throughput depends on the host USB-C 3.1 5 Gbps link and network conditions.
