Jabra Elite 85h Wireless Over-Ear Headphones

The Jabra Elite 85h are wireless over-ear headphones built for listeners who want active noise cancellation and long battery life in a single package. Digital hybrid ANC uses four of the eight microphones to suppress background sound. They suit commuters and office workers who need reliable Bluetooth audio with a wired fallback option. Buyers who require lossless codec support or a dedicated gaming mode will not find those features here.

Thermals Noise and Power Draw

Passive headphones produce no measurable heat and generate no fan noise during operation. Power draw is limited to the internal battery, which delivers up to 41 hours of playback with ANC off and up to 36 hours with ANC on. A 15-minute charge using a 500mA USB wall charger provides up to 5 hours of use. Full recharge takes 2.5 hours with the same charger. Auto power-off after 72 hours preserves standby time beyond one year.

Bundled Accessories and Software Impact

The box includes a USB-C cable (30 cm), a 3.5mm audio cable (120 cm) and a carry case for protection and wired connectivity. On-ear detection pauses playback automatically when the headphones are removed, extending effective battery life between charges. Voice assistant access is enabled through the onboard microphones. No companion app or firmware update tool is mentioned in the supplied data.

Questions about this item

How do I pair the Elite 85h over Bluetooth and what step do people miss?

Power on the headset, press and hold the Bluetooth button until the LED flashes, then select Elite 85h in your device’s Bluetooth menu; the step users skip is holding the button long enough to enter pairing mode.

What maintenance will the Elite 85h need over time?

The built-in lithium-ion battery is not user-replaceable; after many charge cycles capacity will drop, so plan on professional service or replacement when run-time falls well below the rated 36 hours with ANC on.

At what point does the Elite 85h hit its limit during a long session?

With active noise cancellation enabled the battery delivers up to 36 hours of music or talk time; once that threshold is reached the headphones power off until recharged.
