Jabra Evolve2 40 SE USB-C Headset

The Jabra Evolve2 40 SE is a wired stereo headset built for professionals who need clear communication in busy offices. It connects via USB-C and is certified for Microsoft Teams with a dedicated Teams button. Active noise cancellation and a three-microphone array reduce background sound during calls. The 1.5 m cable provides freedom of movement at a desk.

Installation and common issues

Plug the USB-C connector into a compatible port and the headset is recognised immediately without driver installation. The Jabra Direct desktop app delivers firmware updates and lets you adjust sidetone or equaliser settings. A frequent issue is the boom arm microphone being positioned too far from the mouth, which lowers voice pick-up; rotating the arm closer solves it. Another common point is forgetting to select the headset as the default audio device in the operating system or meeting platform.

USB-C audio limits

The USB-C connection carries digital audio and power, so call quality depends on the host device's USB audio implementation rather than an analogue jack. Passive noise isolation from the memory-foam cushions reduces ambient sound by up to 48 %, but low-frequency rumble below 100 Hz is not actively cancelled. The microphone frequency response spans 100 Hz to 14000 Hz, which covers speech intelligibility but not full-range vocal nuance. Headphone sensitivity is rated at 117 dB, so very quiet recordings may still require host-side gain adjustment.
