USB Y-training cable for dual headsets

The Jabra Link 265 connects two Quick Disconnect headsets to a single PC USB port so supervisors can monitor or join calls during training. Inline controls provide answer, end, volume and mute functions for immediate call handling. Soft buttons illuminate when active and can be programmed to suit individual workflow preferences. The device is optimised for configuration through Jabra PC Suite and Jabra Express.

Quick Disconnect flexibility for hot desking

Quick Disconnect plugs let agents attach or remove headsets in seconds without unplugging the cable from the computer, supporting hot desking and shared workstations. The Y-split design keeps both headsets on one USB connection, reducing port usage and cable clutter at the desk. Inline controls sit within easy reach for rapid adjustments during live calls. The lightweight cable routes neatly along standard desk layouts.

Passive USB power with silent operation

The cable draws power directly from the host USB port and requires no external supply, keeping the setup simple and quiet. No fan or active cooling is present, so operation is completely silent in office environments. Low power consumption means negligible impact on the PC power budget. The passive design eliminates moving parts that could wear out over time.

Questions about this item

What USB standard does the Jabra Link 265 use and what does that limit in practice?

The cable uses a standard USB connection to the PC, so call audio and inline controls are limited to the bandwidth and power of that single USB port.

What physical connectors must the headsets have to attach to the Jabra Link 265?

Each headset must terminate in a Jabra Quick Disconnect plug; the Y-cable splits into two QD sockets so both headsets snap in directly.

How is the Jabra Link 265 installed and which step is often missed?

Plug the USB end into the PC, connect both QD headsets, then open Jabra PC Suite or Jabra Express to configure the inline buttons — skipping the software setup leaves the buttons unprogrammed.
