Jabra Speak2 40 Conferencing Device

The Jabra Speak2 40 is a portable speakerphone built for professionals who need clear voice capture in medium-sized meeting spaces. It connects instantly via USB-C or USB-A without requiring driver installation. The device carries Microsoft Teams certification and features a dedicated Teams button for one-touch meeting access. Its IP64 rating adds durability against dust and water splashes.

Plug-and-Play Setup with USB-C and USB-A

Installation is straightforward because the speakerphone uses a standard USB interface that works with both USB-C and USB-A ports. No software configuration is required for basic audio operation. Issues typically arise when the host system defaults to an internal microphone instead of the four digital MEMS microphones, so users should verify the input device selection in their meeting application. Firmware updates through Jabra Direct can resolve occasional connectivity quirks.

Check Port Availability and Meeting Platform Needs

Before ordering, confirm that your computer or hub provides a free USB-A or USB-C port for the included cable. Ensure your primary conferencing software supports external audio devices and can select the Speak2 40 as the default speaker and microphone. The 7.5-foot pickup range suits medium rooms, so verify the seating layout matches this coverage. The IP64 rating is relevant only if the environment exposes the unit to moisture or dust.
