A spring-loaded desoldering pump with an 8.5 in aluminium body and heat-resistant teflon tip removes solder from circuit boards with one-button suction
The JacobsParts DSP-A is a spring-loaded vacuum tool built to pull molten solder away from through-hole joints on printed circuit boards. Its aluminium body and heat-resistant teflon tip withstand repeated contact with a hot iron, making it suited for hobbyists and technicians who rework or salvage components.
The pump operates mechanically with no motor, fan or electrical supply, so it adds no heat, noise or power draw to the bench. The teflon tip tolerates soldering-iron temperatures during the few seconds of each desoldering cycle, while the aluminium barrel stays cool enough to hold comfortably.
At 8.5 in. long and 0.8 in. diameter the tool fits in a standard tool tray or drawer and reaches tight board corners without demanding extra clearance. The single-button trigger lets the user prime, position and fire with one hand, freeing the other hand to hold the iron and keeping the work area uncluttered.

Push the end of the tension bar toward the nozzle until it clicks into place, then position the 0.8 in. Teflon tip on the joint and press the button to fire the suction.
The heat-resistant Teflon nozzle tip degrades with repeated high-temperature contact; keep a spare 0.8 in. tip on hand for quick swaps.
The single-shot spring mechanism requires manual re-cocking after every pull, so sustained work is paced by how fast you can reset the 8.5 in. barrel.
