Rosin soldering flux paste with spatula cleans oxidation and improves solder flow for reliable joints
JacobsParts FLX50-KIT is a 50 g rosin soldering flux paste supplied with a metal spatula. It is formulated for electronics work where clean joints and reliable electrical bonds are required. The neutral pH of 7 ±.3 makes it suitable for sensitive components. Hobbyists, repair technicians and students handling through-hole or surface-mount tasks will find the kit practical.
The paste activates at normal soldering iron temperatures, cleaning oxidation and improving wetting without producing excessive fumes. It draws no power itself and adds no audible noise to the workbench. Residue remains non-corrosive after cooling, so boards can be left unwashed when the application allows. The spatula helps apply only the amount needed, limiting waste and smoke.
The flux comes in a sealed 50 g container that resists drying out between jobs. A metal spatula is included for scooping paste and for scraping residue from pads or tracks after soldering. The neutral formulation reduces the risk of long-term corrosion on copper traces. Users who need water-soluble flux or a larger volume for production runs should look elsewhere.

Scoop a small amount with the metal spatula and spread it evenly on the joint area before heating; the frequent error is applying too much paste, which leaves excess residue that must be cleaned afterward.
The rosin-based paste remains stable in the sealed 50 g container; keep the lid tight after each use to prevent the flux from hardening and losing its wetting properties.
With a neutral pH of 7 ±0.3 the flux is non-corrosive, so the first practical limit is the accumulation of rosin residue on the tip and workpiece, which requires periodic cleaning to maintain solder flow.
