JacobsParts USB-C PD 15V Fixed Voltage Trigger Module 5A Type-C Female Input (2 Pack)

SKU CH-M6DD-NCKF9

Two modules trigger 15 V USB-C PD negotiation at up to 5 A for powering projects or retrofitting legacy hardware

  • Product typeC
  • Delivers fixed 15 V output for stable project power
  • Negotiates USB PD up to 5 A for high-current needs
  • Converts legacy hardware to modern USB-C input
  • Falls back to next lower voltage if 15 V unavailable
  • Requires E-marked cable and true PD source for full 5 A

Fixed 15 V USB-C Trigger

This two-pack of JacobsParts trigger modules lets engineers and hobbyists power a project or retrofit legacy hardware with a USB-C input. Each board performs USB Power Delivery negotiation and requests a fixed 15 V output at up to 5 A from a compatible source.

5 A headroom with PD source

The module delivers the negotiated 15 V as long as the attached PD charger supports that voltage; otherwise the source falls back to its next lower level. Full 5 A operation requires an electronically marked USB-C cable, while standard cables limit current to 3 A.

No cables or software included

The package contains only the two trigger boards, so builders must supply their own PD-capable charger and a suitable marked cable for loads above 3 A. Quick Charge only adapters will not activate the module.

Questions about this item

Will this 15V trigger module work with my existing USB-C power supply?

It performs PD negotiation and passes the output; if the supply does not support 15V the next lowest voltage will be provided. It will not work with QC-only chargers.

How can I verify the module is negotiating 15V correctly after wiring it?

Measure the output with a multimeter; a successful PD handshake will present 15V at the terminals when a compatible PD source and electronically marked cable are used.

What comes in the pack and what extra parts do I need?

Two trigger modules are included; you must provide a USB PD power source and an electronically marked Type-C cable for currents above 3A.
