1987 Buick Grand National Diecast

This 1/24 scale diecast model replicates the 1987 Buick Grand National #7 "Buick Racing" in black and white with stripes. It is an officially licensed product from the Bigtime Muscle series by Jada. The model features a detailed interior and exterior with opening hood, trunk, and doors. Real rubber tires and true-to-scale detail make it suitable for adult collectors and hobby enthusiasts.

Display Scale and Materials

The 1/24 scale determines the model's footprint of approximately 8.25 inches long, 3 inches wide, and 2.5 inches high. Construction uses diecast metal with some plastic parts for detailed components. Moving parts include the hood, trunk, and doors, which function for display access. The manufacturer may change the packing box without altering the model itself.

Opening Features for Collectors

The key specification is the inclusion of opening hood, trunk, and doors on a sealed diecast body. This allows inspection of the detailed engine bay and interior without disassembly. Buyers who need a sealed-unit display model without moving parts should consider a different format.

Questions about this item

Is the 1/24 scale the right size for a display shelf?

The model measures approximately 8.25 inches long, 3 inches wide and 2.5 inches high, so it fits on most standard shelves.

What does the 1/24 scale mean for the level of detail on this 1987 Buick Grand National?

True-to-scale detail is applied to the exterior, interior, engine bay and trunk, with opening hood, doors and trunk revealing the accurate layout.

Does the diecast construction with plastic parts affect how the model feels or holds up?

The body is diecast metal for weight and rigidity, while smaller components use plastic; real rubber tyres complete the authentic finish.
