4x4 HDMI Matrix Switch for Multi-Source Setups
The Jansicotek unit routes four HDMI sources to four displays in a true matrix configuration. It handles 4K at 30 Hz and 1080p at 60 Hz with 3D support. IR remote and front-panel buttons provide switching control. Designed for home theatres, conference rooms and digital-signage installations.
HDMI 1.4 Bandwidth Limits Cable Runs and Resolution
The switch operates within the 10.2 Gbps ceiling of HDMI 1.4, restricting 4K output to 30 Hz with YUV 4:2:0 chroma subsampling. Input and output cables must not exceed 8 metres using AWG26 HDMI 1.4 standard cables. Switching incurs a 3 to 5 second delay and is not seamless.
Verify Source Auto-Resolution
The matrix auto-negotiates to the lowest resolution among connected displays, so every source must be set to output automatically. Confirm that each source device supports this behaviour. Ensure all cables meet the AWG26 spec and that 4K sources accept 30 Hz refresh at 4:2:0.

Questions about this item
Should I choose a 4x4 matrix or a simpler switch for four sources and four displays?
The 4x4 matrix lets any of the four sources be routed independently to any of the four displays, so you can show different content on each screen at the same time.
What does the 4K@30Hz YUV 4:2:0 rating mean when the switch is connected to my TV and sources?
It means the switch passes 4096 x 2160 resolution at 30 Hz using 4:2:0 chroma subsampling over HDMI 1.4; full 4:4:4 colour at 4K requires a higher bandwidth link.
How does the HDMI 1.4 10.2 Gbps interface limit what I can send through the matrix?
The 10.2 Gbps ceiling caps video to 4K@30Hz YUV 4:2:0 or 1080P@60Hz; higher refresh rates or uncompressed 4K 4:4:4 need HDMI 2.0 or later.
