One-to-three DisplayPort splitter

The Jansicotek adapter takes a single DisplayPort 1.4 source and drives up to three DisplayPort 1.4 displays. It works in mirror mode for identical images or in MST mode for independent desktops. A USB-A to Micro-B cable supplies the required power.

MST bandwidth limit

In MST expansion mode the single-port maximum is 8K at 30 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz, while all three ports together are capped at 4K 60 Hz. The 32.4 Gbps link is shared across the three outputs, so total resolution must stay within that budget.

Sustained multi-display operation

The splitter maintains stable 4K 60 Hz across three screens continuously when powered through the USB cable. Apple systems can only extend one external display in MST because of operating-system limits, and integrated graphics may struggle with the bit-width demands of three high-resolution streams.

Questions about this item

What does 8K at 30 Hz actually deliver when the splitter is connected to three monitors?

In MST expansion mode one port can show 8K at 30 Hz or 4K at 144 Hz while all three ports together run at 4K 60 Hz.

Which DisplayPort version limits the 32.4 Gbps bandwidth and what resolutions does that cap?

The splitter uses DisplayPort 1.4 so the 32.4 Gbps ceiling allows 8K 30 Hz or 4K 144 Hz on a single output and 4K 60 Hz across three outputs.

What physical connection and power does the unit need to sit on a desk and drive three displays?

It takes one DisplayPort 1.4 input, provides three DisplayPort 1.4 outputs and requires the included USB-A to Micro-B cable for power.
