This Jansicotek switch routes DisplayPort 1.4 signals in either direction: connect two sources to one display or one source to two displays. It serves users who need to share a single high-resolution monitor between workstation and console, or toggle a laptop between two screens. Only one display is active at a time; simultaneous output is not supported.

Resolution and Bandwidth Limits

The switch handles 8K at 30 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz over its 32.4 Gbps link. Standard DisplayPort 1.4 cables are required to reach the maximum data rate. Higher refresh rates such as 4K at 144 Hz or 1080p at 240 Hz are also within the bandwidth envelope. HDMI 2.1 sources are not supported by this unit.

Metal Shell Build and Daily Use

A black metal enclosure shields the circuitry and dissipates heat during extended sessions. The front-panel select button switches sources in one to three seconds while indicator LEDs show the active port. External DC 5 V power is mandatory; a USB power cable is included.
