240 W USB-C Cable for High-Power Devices

This Jansicotek Essager CG240W cable delivers up to 240 W at 48 V and 5 A using the USB Power Delivery 3.1 scheme. It suits owners of MacBook Air or Pro, iPad Pro 12.9, 11 or Air, and Samsung Galaxy S22 or S21 who need maximum charging speed from a compatible adapter.

Right-Angle Plug and Braided Build

The right-angle USB-C connectors fit tight ports without straining the port or cable. Nylon braiding, an aluminium housing and a 250 d fiber core survive over 10000 ninety-degree bends. Data runs at USB 2.0 480 Mbps, so 4K video output or USB 3.0 speeds are not supported.

240 W Power Delivery 3.1 Rating

The single deciding specification is the 240 W PD 3.1 rating; without a charger and device that both support this level the cable will fall back to lower power. Buyers whose hardware tops out at 60 W or 100 W will not gain the advertised speed.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the cable is delivering 240W after I plug it in?

The built-in E-marker chips negotiate 48V at 5A with a compatible charger, so your device should show its maximum fast-charge rate and reach the quoted percentages within 35 minutes.

What comes in the pack and do I need to buy a power adapter separately?

The pack contains one 6.6 ft USB-C to USB-C right-angle cable; a USB-C charger capable of 240W output must be purchased separately.

Should I choose this 240W cable or a lower-wattage version for my MacBook Pro and iPad Pro?

Pick this 240W model when your charger and devices support USB Power Delivery 3.1 at 48V/5A; it charges a MacBook Pro to 86% and an iPad Pro to 89% in 35 minutes.
