Two-pack 80 W USB-A to USB-C cable

This Jansicotek Essager CGA7A set delivers two 3.3 ft blue cables rated for 7 A and 80 W Power Delivery. Each cable includes a built-in E-marker chip that negotiates the maximum safe current with the charger and device. The aluminium-alloy connectors and nylon-braided jackets are designed for repeated daily use.

Suits phones, tablets

Buyers who need to power a MacBook Pro, Samsung Galaxy, iPad or similar USB-C device from a standard USB-A charger will get the full 80 W rate when paired with a compatible 80 W adapter. The 480 Mbps data link handles syncing and backups but is not intended for high-speed external storage or video output.

80 W Power Delivery rating decides compatibility

The cable supports up to 11 V at 7 A, so it only reaches its top speed with a charger and device that both offer 80 W PD over USB-A. If either end caps out at a lower wattage, charging will fall back to that limit.

Questions about this item

What does the 80W rating mean when I plug this cable into my laptop?

The cable can deliver up to 80W at 11V 5A, so a MacBook Pro 16-inch reaches full charge in about 2 hours when paired with an 80W PD charger.

Does the USB-A end limit the speed compared with a USB-C-to-USB-C cable?

The built-in E-marker chip enables 80W Power Delivery over the USB-A connector, so the cable itself does not cap the power; the charger and device negotiate the rate.

How much space does the aluminium-alloy connector need to fit beside other ports?

The aluminium-alloy shell is a standard USB-A plug on one side and USB-C on the other, so it fits any regular USB-A port without blocking adjacent sockets.
