Essager CGI27W 10 ft two-pack

This two-pack supplies two blue USB-C to Lightning cables each measuring 10 ft. They carry Apple MFi certification so iPhone and iPad models recognise them without warning pop-ups. The C94 connector with gold pins replaces the older C48 design. Each cable handles up to 27 W Power Delivery and 3 A maximum current.

Sustained 27 W delivery and 480 Mbps data

When paired with a 27 W or higher PD charger the cable maintains the full 27 W rate rather than dropping back after a short burst. It is backwards compatible with 25 W and 20 W profiles so older adapters still charge at their rated speed. Data moves at 480 Mbps during sync or backup sessions with a laptop. The nylon braid resists fraying during repeated plug cycles.

Thermals noise and power draw in normal use

The cable itself generates no audible noise and stays cool to the touch during a 30-minute charge that takes an iPhone 14 from 0 % to 60 %. Power draw is dictated entirely by the attached PD charger — 18 W, 20 W, 27 W, 29 W, 61 W or 87 W — so the cord adds no measurable heat. The braided jacket insulates the conductors without trapping warmth.

Questions about this item

Does the cable get warm during continuous 27W charging sessions?

The Essager CGI27W uses a C94 Lightning connector with gold pins designed for fast charging, and the nylon-braided jacket helps dissipate heat during sustained 27W Power Delivery use.

Do I need a USB-C Power Delivery charger to get the 27W speed?

Yes, the cable supports up to 27W PD fast charging when paired with a USB-C Power Delivery charger such as Apple 18W, 20W, 27W, 29W, 61W or 87W adapters.

Will the 480Mbps data rate work with my iPhone X and a USB-A laptop port via an adapter?

The cable’s USB-C to Lightning design delivers 480Mbps transfer speeds; connecting to a USB-A port requires a separate USB-C to USB-A adapter, after which the 480Mbps rate is maintained.
