What it is and who it is for

This is a USB-C to USB-C cable built for devices that accept up to 100W Power Delivery and Quick Charge 4.0. It suits laptop owners, tablet users and phone owners who need a single cable for charging and data.

The specification that decides fit

The cable delivers 100W at 20V with a 5A rating and moves data at 480Mbps. If your device requires higher data throughput or a different power profile this cable will not meet that need.

Installation and common issues

Plug the USB-C connectors into both devices; the braided jacket coils easily for storage. The transparent ends let you inspect the internal circuitry for debris. A loose port on either side can reduce the negotiated power level.

Questions about this item

What does the 100W rating mean when I plug this cable into my laptop?

The cable can carry up to 100W of power at 20V and 5A, so it will deliver the full charging speed your USB-C laptop or tablet supports.

The cable mentions USB 2.0 speeds — what does that cap in practice?

Data moves at 480Mbps, which is the maximum for USB 2.0, so large file transfers will be slower than with a USB 3.1 or USB 4 cable.

How long is the 6.6FT cable and will it reach from a floor outlet to my desk?

At 6.6 feet (about 2 metres) the braided cable reaches comfortably from a floor socket to a desktop or bedside table.
