Cable purpose and audience

The Jansicotek Essager XJI is a USB-C to Lightning cable built for iPhone users who need a single cord for both charging and syncing. Its 6.6ft length gives extra reach at a desk, in a car or beside a bed. Apple MFi certification and the C94 connector mean no warning messages appear when plugged into supported models from the iPhone 8 through the 14 series.

USB 2.0 interface limits

Data moves at 480Mbps, the ceiling of the USB 2.0 standard used by this Lightning connection. That speed handles photo offloads, backups and local file transfers but will not saturate modern solid-state storage or meet the throughput of USB 3-class peripherals. Video output or high-bandwidth accessories are not supported by this interface.

Power delivery headroom

The cable carries up to 3A at 29W PD, charging an iPhone 14 Pro Max from 0 to 50 per cent in roughly 29 minutes when paired with a 29W or higher adapter. It steps down cleanly to 27W or 20W profiles for older chargers. The 15000-bend rating and aluminium-alloy ends add physical headroom, but the 29W ceiling means laptops or larger tablets will not charge at their maximum rate.
