Dual-mode gaming mouse

The Jansicotek Zelotes F-18 is a wired and wireless gaming mouse built for Windows PCs. It connects through a 2.4 GHz USB receiver or a 1.5 metre USB 2.0 cable. An integrated rechargeable battery powers the wireless mode without removable cells. Optical tracking reaches 3200 dpi across six selectable steps from 600 to 3200.

Left-handed palm-grip users

This model suits left-handed players who prefer a palm grip and want adjustable weight tuning. Seven programmable buttons and a scroll ring cover common gaming macros. Buyers needing right-handed ergonomics, Bluetooth connectivity or higher polling rates than 500 Hz should consider other options.

Plug-and-play setup

No driver installation is required on Windows 7 through 10, Vista, XP, 2000, ME or Mac OS X 10.4; simply insert the receiver or plug the cable. The fixed battery cannot be swapped, so long-term degradation means the whole unit eventually needs replacement. Wireless range is rated at 30 metres, though obstacles and interference will reduce practical distance.

Questions about this item

What must my PC have to use the 2.4 GHz dongle or the 1.5 m USB cable?

A free USB 2.0 port is the only requirement; no driver is needed for either wireless or wired mode.

Will the optical sensor still track at 3200 DPI if I keep using an older Windows XP or Vista machine?

Yes, the sensor supports 600, 1000, 1600, 2000, 2400 and 3200 DPI on all listed Windows versions including XP and Vista.

How can I confirm the polling rate is actually running at 500 Hz after I plug in the dongle?

Open a mouse-rate tester utility; it should report a steady 500 Hz in both wireless and wired modes.
