HDMI KVM Extender 60m

This Jansicotek transceiver extends HDMI, USB keyboard and mouse signals up to 60 metres over a single Cat5e or Cat6 cable. It supports video resolutions up to 1920x1080 at 60 Hz with 3D and HDR, plus LPCM 2.0, 5.1 and 7.1 audio formats. Power-over-cable lets a single 12 V adapter supply both units, and the transmitter includes a local HDMI loop-out for a nearby display. Uncompressed transmission adds no perceptible delay.

Installers needing HDMI and KVM over 60m

The extender suits control rooms, digital signage or classrooms where a source must drive a remote screen and accept keyboard or mouse input from that location. Buyers who need 4K resolution, longer cable runs or fibre-based transmission will not be served by this 1080p copper design. It also does not carry USB mass-storage or audio-return-channel signals, so applications requiring those features should look elsewhere.

Simple Cat cable installation

Connect the transmitter to the HDMI source and a USB Type-B port on the host PC, link the receiver to the remote display and plug keyboard and mouse into its USB ports. Run one AWG23 Cat6 cable between the RJ45 ports — up to 60 metres — and attach the single 12 V power adapter to either unit. Common issues include using Cat5 beyond 40 metres, exceeding the 300 MHz pixel clock, or forgetting that only HID-class USB devices are supported.

Questions about this item

Do I need a separate power outlet at the display end to run the receiver?

No, the POC function sends power over the CAT cable so a single 12 V 1 A adapter at the transmitter powers both units.

Will my existing Cat5e patch cables reach the full 60 m distance?

Cat5e is rated for 50 m; for the full 60 m you need AWG23 Cat6 cable.

How can I verify the extender is passing 1080p 60 Hz without compression?

Check that the loop-out on the transmitter shows the same 1920×1080@60 Hz image and that mouse and keyboard respond instantly with zero delay.
