A 3.3 ft DisplayPort 2.1 cable rated for 40 Gbit/s bandwidth, carrying 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 144 Hz with HDR, FreeSync and G-SYNC support
The Jansicotek LJ-DP16K is a VESA Certified DisplayPort 2.1 cable, 3.3 ft long, rated for 40 Gbit/s bandwidth. It carries video and audio between a DisplayPort 2.1 source and a DisplayPort 2.1 display using male-to-male connectors. The cable supports HBR10, HBR3, HDCP 2.2, HDCP 1.4, HDR, DPCP 1.0, stereoscopic 3D, Multi-Stream Transport and DSC compression.
Builders connecting an RTX 3080 or RTX 3090 graphics card to a monitor that accepts DisplayPort 2.1 input will get the full 8K 60 Hz or 4K 144 Hz capability. Gamers targeting 2K 240 Hz or 165 Hz refresh rates also benefit. Buyers whose source or display only provides DisplayPort 1.2 or 1.4 ports cannot use the higher link rates this cable enables. Anyone needing a longer run than 3.3 ft must choose a different length.
The cable is rated for 40 Gbit/s (HBR10) bandwidth. If both your graphics card and your monitor implement DisplayPort 2.1 with UHBR10 or UHBR13.5 links, this cable will deliver 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 144 Hz, or 2K at 240 Hz without compression artifacts. If either end tops out at a lower link rate, the extra headroom goes unused.

Other versions of this model
The cable is passive with solid copper conductors and triple shielding, so it adds no active heat or power draw; signal integrity at 40 Gbit/s is maintained without external power.
Yes, both source and display need a DisplayPort 2.1 connector to unlock the full 40 Gbit/s bandwidth and 8K 60 Hz or 4K 144 Hz modes.
The cable is backward compatible with DisplayPort 1.2, 1.4 and earlier versions, so an older monitor will operate at its maximum supported resolution and refresh rate.
