Three-input optical switcher

This Jansicotek OZG2 unit connects three Toslink sources to a single SPDIF input on a soundbar, amplifier or AV receiver. It accepts consoles, disc players or streaming boxes and routes the selected signal without re-encoding. A supplied IR remote and front-panel button both change the active input. The switch remembers the last choice after power loss.

Format limits at 96 kHz

Supported audio formats are LPCM 2.0, DTS and Dolby Digital; multichannel formats such as 7.1CH Dolby Digital Plus and Dolby True HD are not passed through. Sampling frequency tops out at 96 kHz, so higher-rate streams will be down-sampled or rejected. Fibre runs up to 40 m are specified with attenuation below .2 dB/m, and built-in surge protection guards against faulty power adapters.

Three Toslink inputs, one output

The decisive spec is the 3×1 port arrangement: three optical inputs feed one optical output. Buyers who need to combine more than three sources or who require a second simultaneous output cannot use this switcher. Power comes from a 5 V USB cable, and an IR extension cable is included for hidden installations.
