The Jansicotek OZHW2 is a Gigabit Ethernet splitter that turns a single RJ45 socket into three female ports. It lets three devices such as computers, TVs or set-top boxes share one wired connection simultaneously. The adapter requires the included USB power cable to operate and cannot function without it. It is intended for users who need extra ports where cabling is limited.

Gigabit shared bandwidth and cabling limits

Each of the three ports can carry up to 1000 Mbps, but the total throughput is shared across all active devices. The splitter works with Cat5, Cat5e, Cat6, Cat7 and Cat8 cables and passes signals through a pure physical connection without assigning IP addresses. IPTV signals are not supported and crosstalk between ports is minimised by the internal circuit design.

USB-powered plug-and-play installation

Setup is plug-and-play: connect the upstream Ethernet cable, attach the USB cable to a power source, then plug in up to three devices. The 80 cm USB cable must reach a stable power socket or the splitter will not work. A common issue is forgetting to supply power, which leaves all three ports inactive.
