2×2 HDMI Switch with Audio Extraction

The Jansicotek OZQ11 routes video and audio from two HDMI sources to two HDMI displays at once. It supports 4K at 60 Hz with 18.5 Gbps bandwidth and HDCP 2.2 compliance. Audio can be pulled out through both a 3.5 mm jack and an optical Toslink port simultaneously. The unit is aimed at installers and home users who need to share two sources across two screens without signal loss.

HDMI 2.0b bandwidth and downscaling limits

The switch passes 4K 60 Hz 4:4:4 up to 18.5 Gbps and handles 8, 10 and 12 bit deep colour. Downscaling lets one 4K source feed a 4K display and a 1080p display together, but it cannot downscale a 4K 60 Hz 4:2:2 signal to 1080p. HDCP 2.2 is supported, so protected content plays, yet any source or sink that exceeds the 600 MHz TMDS clock will not work. The 3.5 mm output is limited to two-channel audio, while the optical port can carry 5.1 or two-channel formats.

Simple IR or button control with power adapter

Switching between inputs is done by a front button or the supplied IR remote, and the box includes a 5 V 1 A power adapter for stable operation. A common issue is forgetting to power the unit, which causes no signal or flickering on both outputs. Another is connecting a 4K 60 Hz 4:2:2 source while expecting automatic 1080p downscaling, which the hardware does not support. Ensure the output A port is used for the primary 4K display when mixing resolutions.

Questions about this item

Should I pick the 2×2 version or a simpler 1×1 switch for two sources and two displays?

The OZQ11 is a 2×2 matrix: both HDMI inputs can be routed to either or both outputs at once, so you do not need a separate splitter or multiple switches.

What does the 4K@60Hz rating mean when I connect a 4K monitor and a 1080p TV to the two outputs?

The switch downscales automatically — one source can feed 4K@60Hz to output A and 1080p to output B simultaneously, except 4K@60Hz 4:2:2 cannot be downscaled to 1080p.

Does the HDMI 2.0b / HDCP 2.2 interface limit HDR or high-bitrate audio on a 4K@60Hz signal?

The 18.5 Gbps bandwidth and HDMI 2.0b spec carry 4K@60Hz 4:4:4 8‑12 bit colour and HDR, while the optical and 3.5 mm jacks pass 5.1‑channel LPCM, DTS‑HD, Dolby TrueHD and DSD.
