Four-port HDMI 2.1 KVM switch

The Jansicotek SW241-HD lets four computers or laptops share a single monitor and four USB 3.0 peripherals. It supports video resolutions up to 8K at 60 Hz and 4K at 120 Hz. Switching is handled by front push buttons or the included wired desktop controller. The unit ships with four USB 3.0 A-to-A cables, a 12 V power supply, an IR cable, a remote control and a manual.

Build integration and cabling

Each connected system requires one HDMI 2.1 cable and one USB 3.0 A-to-A cable to reach the switch. The switch then outputs a single HDMI signal to the monitor while exposing four USB 3.0 ports for shared keyboards, mice, printers or scanners. A 12 V external power adapter is mandatory for operation. The compact 5.43 by 5.35 by 1.46 inch enclosure fits on a desk without consuming a drive bay or rack space.

Sustained-operation behaviour

USB 3.0 ports maintain up to 5 Gbps throughput during long file transfers, avoiding the 480 Mbps bottleneck of older standards. Auto-scan mode cycles through connected computers at a fixed three-second interval for unattended monitoring. LED indicators show the active port continuously without flicker. The external power supply keeps the switch stable when all four USB ports draw current simultaneously.
