Jansicotek T001A 30 ft Toslink cable

The Jansicotek T001A is a 30 ft Toslink digital optical audio cable built for home-theatre and gaming setups that need a reliable S/PDIF link between source and amplifier. It serves installers and enthusiasts who want a single, long run without signal repeaters.

Capacity and headroom: 5.1 to 7.1 surround sound

The fibre core carries uncompressed PCM and compressed 5.1, 6.1 and 7.1 Dolby AC-3 or DTS bitstreams without distortion. Bandwidth is sufficient for standard multi-channel formats; it does not support object-based codecs such as Dolby Atmos or DTS:X that require HDMI eARC.

24K gold-plated metal connectors and braided jacket

Gold-plated male-to-metal terminals resist corrosion and ensure a snug fit in standard Toslink ports. The nylon-braided jacket with 2.2 mm and 5.0 mm outer diameters protects the fibre from kinks and physical stress during routing. No software or adapters are bundled.

Questions about this item

Will this 30 ft cable reach from my TV to an older AV receiver that only has a Toslink input?

Yes, the male-to-male Toslink connectors fit standard optical ports on both devices and the 30 ft length gives plenty of slack for routing around furniture.

How can I verify the cable is passing Dolby AC-3 or DTS 5.1 surround sound after I connect it?

Play a known 5.1 test file and check the receiver's display; it should show Dolby Digital or DTS and all channels will be active with no drop-outs.

Does the box include protective caps for the gold-plated tips or do I need to buy them separately?

The cable ships with dust caps already fitted on both 24K gold-plated connectors; no extra accessories are required for installation.
