What the cable does and who needs it

The Jansicotek TJ-A028 is a DisplayPort 1.4 extension cable measuring 3.3 ft. It carries a VESA-certified HBR3 link rated at 32.4 Gbit/s and supports 8K at 60 Hz, 4K at 144 Hz and 1080p at 240 Hz. The male-to-female connectors let you lengthen an existing DP cable run without adding a second cable.

How it fits into a build

The extension plugs between a source device and a display, projector or TV that both use DisplayPort 1.4 sockets. Triple shielding and solid copper conductors protect the HBR3 signal from interference. Gold-plated contacts and an aluminium shell resist corrosion. The cable is backwards compatible with DP 1.2 gear, so older monitors still work.

Behaviour under sustained load

HBR3 bandwidth of 32.4 Gbit/s is maintained across the full 3.3 ft length. Forward Error Correction and DSC keep the bitstream intact during long gaming or work sessions. HDCP 2.2 and DPCP 1.0 remain active for protected content. The construction prevents signal drop-outs that shorter bursts might hide.

Questions about this item

Will the 32.4 Gbps bandwidth limit appear before the 3.3 ft length becomes a problem?

The cable is rated for HBR3 32.4 Gbps at its full 3.3 ft length, so the bandwidth ceiling and the length limit are reached together.

Does the triple-shielded copper construction stay cool and quiet during all-day 8K 60 Hz use?

As a passive copper cable it generates no noise and negligible heat; the aluminium shell and triple shielding simply maintain signal integrity.

Must my source and display both have female DisplayPort 1.4 ports for this male-to-female extension to work?

Yes — the cable adds a female DisplayPort 1.4 socket to an existing male connection, so both devices need female DP 1.4 inputs.
