Check port capabilities before ordering

Your host and peripheral must both expose USB4 Gen 4 or Thunderbolt 5 controllers to reach the 80 Gbps ceiling; older USB 3.2 or Thunderbolt 3 ports will fall back to 20 Gbps or 40 Gbps. For 240 W charging, the power source and the device must each support PD 3.1 at 48 V and 5 A. Video output requires DisplayPort Alternate Mode on the USB-C port.
