Share four USB 2.0 peripherals between two computers with a single button press and no driver installation required
This USB 2.0 KVM switch lets two computers share up to four USB 2.0 peripherals such as a printer, scanner, mouse, keyboard or flash drive. A single button press swaps control between the connected systems without unplugging cables or installing network sharing software. It targets home users and small offices that need simple, driver-free device sharing across Windows, macOS, Linux or Chrome OS.
The unit draws power from the USB bus so no external adapter is required for typical low-draw devices. A dedicated micro-USB female port accepts a standard 5 V adapter when higher-power peripherals such as portable hard drives, SSDs or digital video cameras are attached. LED indicators show which computer is active, and the switch produces no fan noise or measurable heat during normal use.
The switch maintains a stable connection during sustained sharing sessions with multiple peripherals attached. Optional 5 V power ensures reliable operation when all four ports are loaded with higher-draw devices, preventing drop-outs that can occur on bus power alone. It is not suited for setups that require more than two host computers or more than four shared USB 2.0 ports.

Plug the two included USB cables into each computer's USB 2.0 port, connect up to four devices to the front ports, then attach a standard 5 V adapter to the micro-USB power socket — skipping this power step is the common mistake.
The mechanical switch button and LED indicators are the only moving parts; if switching becomes unreliable, replace the unit. The optional 5 V power adapter may also need replacement if its output drifts.
The bus-powered design relies on the optional 5 V adapter; sustained use with power-hungry devices such as external HDDs or SSDs will hit the adapter's current limit before the switch itself overheats.
