Jansicotek USB4 Thunderbolt 4 Cable 1.64ft

This 1.64ft cable connects two USB-C devices and supports Thunderbolt 4, Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3.2, 3.1 and 3.0 standards. It delivers up to 240W of power at 48V/5A and moves data at speeds up to 40Gbps. The grey male-to-male design suits MacBooks, iPads, docks and hubs with USB-C ports.

Suits users needing 240W charging

The 1.64ft length fits desktop docks, portable hubs and side-by-side laptops where a longer cable would add clutter. It also drives a single 8K display at 60Hz or two 4K displays when two cables are used. Buyers who need a longer reach between devices should look at a different length.

240W (48V/5A) power delivery decides if this cable

The cable supplies up to 240W only when both the charger and the device support that level; otherwise it negotiates the highest mutually supported rate. Data speed likewise tops out at 40Gbps only with 40Gbps-capable hosts and peripherals. Video output reaches 8K at 60Hz or dual 4K when the source and display allow it.

Questions about this item

Do I need a power adapter that can deliver 240W over USB-C for the cable to charge at its maximum rate?

Yes, both the power adapter and the device must support USB Power Delivery up to 240W (48V/5A) for the cable to provide its fastest charging speed.

Will this cable still carry video and data if I connect it to a Thunderbolt 3 dock or a USB 3.2 port?

It is backwards compatible with Thunderbolt 3 and USB 3.2, 3.1 and 3.0, so video and data will work, but speeds and supported resolutions drop to the limits of the older port.

How can I confirm the cable is running at 40Gbps after I plug it in?

On macOS open System Information and check the Thunderbolt section for a 40Gbps link speed; on Windows use the Thunderbolt control panel or a USB4-capable benchmark tool to verify the active rate.
